Welcome to our Journal. Within it you’ll find lots of information to help you reconnect with nature through inspirational adventure stories and introductions to outdoor activities. In the Journal you’ll also find a guide to meeting our makers to help you choose products based upon the people who have hand-crafted them.
We created the Journal to bring together all of the things we love about the outdoors. We’re not experts in adventure but we love hearing from those that are and those who get a little bit of adventure everyday. That’s why in our Adventure Stories section you’ll find reviews of books, articles and podcasts to help you find your next great read of listen. You can find top ten lists, recommendations and help discover stories that pique your interest.
In our Get Wild Guide you can find plenty of information about how to enter into a new outdoor activity and connect with communities to help get you started. We’re aiming to build a community and understand that finding friends in the outdoors is a major part of enjoying new activities. In the Get Wild Guide you’ll find inspiration for top walks or hikes in our favourite places, advice on how to get started in wild swimming and how to meet like-minded people in your local areas.
In the Journal you’ll also find our Meet The Makers section. This is a really important aspect for us. Many platforms and sellers sell products without a backstory but in our aim to build a community we want to share their stories with you. In the Meet The Makers section you’ll find a bio about each of our contributors and find out more about why they’ve created their products, what inspired them and how you can access their work in other places.
